Avatar

Avatars are images that identify a person's picture throughout the user interface. It is used when identification of people is necessary, for example in chat apps. One may badge the Avatar with: Modifier Badges (with text e.g. number of messages), Classifier Badges.

Use it in sizes that divide by 32 for optimal viewing. (32, 64, 128, …)

Shouldn't be used

In Navigation Rails.
In Chips. (Too small to discern what it is.)
In Overlay Buttons.
In Empty Pages.
